Applying Advanced Geotechnical Capabilities

Advanced Terra Testing (ATT) has been performing geotechnical laboratory testing for 40 years and offers a wide range of capabilities. ATT is a longstanding member and active participant in ASTM International and the Society for Mining, Metallurgy and Exploration (SME). ATT holds a radioactive materials license with the State of Colorado and is accredited by the AASHTO Accreditation Program (AAP) and the Geosynthetic Association Institute - Laboratory Accreditation Program (GAI - LAP).

Advanced Terra Testing is owned by long-time employee Kerry Repola. He is bringing new ideas and improvements to the company while maintaining the same precision and quality that has made ATT great. As the Laboratory Director, Kerry is responsible for the daily operation of the laboratory. He communicates daily with the Division Managers to ensure our clients’ needs are being met for all projects. ATT’s client base includes federal, state, county and city agencies, along with multiple sectors of private industry. Kerry helps educate our clients on new and existing testing procedures to assist them in the creation of testing programs which meet their requirements and budget. He also resolves scheduling conflicts that arise with multiple projects as well as interfacing with new and existing clients to market the laboratory’s myriad testing capabilities.

As the Quality Assurance Manager, Shannon ensures that ATT’s quality program adheres to all the standards and quality requirements dictated by such bodies as ASME, ISO, AASHTO and ASTM. As the Geosynthetics Division Manager she supervises all geosynthetic material testing as well as the chemistry laboratory.

Hamid Nazeri Receives ASTM Award for CERCHAR Method

Dr. Hamid Nazeri received the Richard S. Ladd Standards Development Award from ASTM Committee D18 on Soil and Rock in recognition of his work developing ASTM Standard D7625 - "Standard Test Method for Laboratory Determination of Abrasiveness of Rock Using the CERCHAR Abrasiveness Index Method".
